The design brief required creating a product advertisement for a magazine, focusing on one of the given themes: food, drinks, clothing, or electronics. Additionally, the design had to incorporate two principles of design—contrast, emphasis, or balance.
I chose the principles of contrast and emphasis, and my product was the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, the phone I owned at the time of designing the advertisement.
Contrast was achieved by using a black background with white text, ensuring high readability due to the stark difference between these two colors. Emphasis was applied to the phone’s cutout by adding a white glow outline, drawing attention to it and making it the focal point of the design.
